Joshua Quartin began his martial arts career at the age of 5. By age 9 he earned his junior black belt in Chinese Kempo under Cifu Richard Begley.
In 2003, Joshua began training under Kioshi Arturo Espina in the art of Goju Ryu. Joshua currently holds a first degree black belt in Chinese Kenpo and a second degree black belt in Goju Ryu.
Joshua began competing locally in the F.B.B.A. at 6 years old. After gaining numerous state titles anc championships, he decided to step it up to the next level. He has been competing in the North American Sports Karate Association ever since and has attained 11 world championship titles and is the current ISKA world champion.
Through the years, Joshua has been very active in the community giving back using the skills and knowledge he has gained in the Martial Arts, He performs twice a year at Give Kids the World - www.gtkw.org in Orlando, Florida.
He helps to raise money and perform demonstrations yearly for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation - www.jdrf.org as well as working with local churches and synagogues to help promote the Martial Arts way of life.
By performing and socializing with these children less fortunate than himself, he hopes to not only entertain, but inspire them and show them what can be accomplished with dedication and hard work.
Joshua emphasizes to these children the importance of family, education, community and faith.
